About Rose Travel

A Transport Partner Built on Experience and Excellence

Rose Travel was founded in 1994 in Tralee by Breda Murphy. Having worked in the local bus and transport industry during the 1980s — at a time when there were very few women bus drivers in Kerry — Breda recognised an opportunity to start her own transport service. Using a family van that she and her husband John had originally purchased to carry their four children, she began operating licensed local hackney services. As demand quickly grew, John left his career and joined her in the business and together they began building what would become Rose Travel.

Inspired by the famous Rose of Tralee story, Breda chose the name Rose Travel for the new company. What began with a single vehicle soon developed into a small fleet as demand increased. Within a few short years Breda and John were serving the local market with multiple vehicles and operating from offices in both Tralee and Castleisland.

In 1997 the company took a major step forward with the purchase of its first new touring coach, allowing Rose Travel to expand from local services into national touring and group transport across Ireland.

Today Rose Travel continues to build on those foundations. With more than three decades of operational experience, the company combines strong local knowledge, professional drivers and a modern fleet supporting chauffeur-driven travel, minibus hire and coach transport throughout Ireland.

Breda and John were joined in the business by their son David Murphy nearly two decades ago. Today, together with an experienced team of support staff and professional drivers, they deliver reliable transport services for clients travelling across Ireland.

Rose Travel now provides chauffeur services, airport transfers, executive transport, golf transport, sightseeing tours, corporate travel, event transport, private group travel and travel trade transport services throughout Ireland.
